During its history, Xocolat has become an obligatory reference, in Mallorca, for most musical events. As a specialized music store and as a promoter, she has produced important concerts.
BLAU, PRODUCER AND DISCOGRAPHIC EDITOR
In 1982 we launched the BLAU label, which since then produces and edits most of the Balearic Islands discs contributing to the increase of musical heritage, betting on new artists as revalorizing the recovery of old productions such as the first discs of Maria del Mar Bonet . Since its creation, Blau has edited more than 700 titles that have enriched the musical heritage not only of the Balearic Islands but all its surroundings. Giving in this way output to the creativity of many artists.
DISCMEDI new record company in Barcelona
In 1987, Blau, together with other partners, founded DISCMEDI in Barcelona, ??a production and publishing company that is consolidated not only in the Spanish market but also internationally. From DiscMedi brands are created to edit Latin American productions such as DoBrasil, editing for a while for Europe artists of the Biscoito Fino label. Under the ZunZun Brand new productions are created in Cuba as the two volumes of Cuba sings to Serrat, Grupo Compay Segundo or Vania.
Since 1991 Blau-Discmedi participates in the most important international fairs in the world such as MIDEM Cannes, Popkomm or WOMEX.
Since the creation of Discmedi, Blau has taken a large part of the artistic direction of numerous productions released under the Discmedi brand
Latin Grammy Nominations
Co-productions with Discmedi have also been achieved with three Grammy nominations: Cuba sings to Serrat (2005) Siempre Compay (2006) and Tierra de Calma by Miguel Poveda.
BLAU DIGITAL / IDFD
Together with Discmedi, the IDFD company is created responsible for digitizing our entire catalog and making it available to digital stores. Our artists and titles can be downloaded legally or listen to streaming to the most important digital platforms in the world
